IntuiFace Presentation 3.0 Released
Multi-Touch Presentation Creation Software Now Supports Remote Gestures, Advanced Authoring Capabilities
Major Release Includes Native Support for Microsoft Kinect Plus Upcoming Microsoft Surface 2 and Windows 8, Complementing Ongoing Support for Any Windows-Compliant, Touch-Enabled Tablet, Monitor, Table and Wall.Toulouse, France – October 25, 2011. IntuiLab, a leader in the design, creation and deployment of innovative multi-touch experiences, is pleased to announce the availability of IntuiFace Presentation Version 3.0, the latest edition of its revolutionary authoring environment for the creation of rich multi-touch presentations. In this major release customers will be placed at the forefront of surface computing innovation, given both advanced presentation authoring capabilities as well as access to the latest Microsoft technologies, including the ability to use Microsoft Kinect as a remote gesture input device and support for upcoming Microsoft Surface 2 and Windows 8 to ensure upwards compatibility as these environments enter the mainstream.
The broad-based appeal of today’s mobile and tablet-enabled multi-touch experience has begun to influence B2B and B2C communication. From trade show floors to hospitality venues, from keynote talks to digital signage and self-service kiosks, static slides, clip art graphics, and looped video are being exchanged for dynamic, highly engaging multi-touch content. Interactivity is inherently immersive, enhancing the ability of eye-candy design to leave an impression that isn’t just skin deep. Unfortunately, technology hurdles have limited creation of these applications to only the most advanced software development teams. Building multi-touch applications was hard. With IntuiFace Presentation, this is no longer the case.
IntuiFace Presentation enables the rapid creation of interactive presentations without any programming. Simply dragging-and-dropping preexisting content – images, videos, documents, 3D models, Web browsers and more – into the design space automatically imparts interactive characteristics to those assets. Users can create their own Microsoft Expression or Adobe Creative Suite elements, combine them with a host of other supported content types, arrange them using a variety of authoring, navigation and customization capabilities, and then deploy to any Windows 7 or Windows 8-compliant touchscreen device. As one customer put it, “I am very impressed by how much you can do with so little effort.”
Version 3 introduces over a hundred new features and feature tweaks, extended hardware support, improved performance and even an enhanced set of online support documentation and video illustrations.
Key improvements include:
• Support for Microsoft Kinect: Enables remote gesture interaction with any presentation created using IntuiFace Presentation. Complements existing interactive support for touch, RFID, NFC, and tags.
• Support for Microsoft Surface 2 and Windows 8: Ensuring upwards compatibility for existing presentations.
• Enhanced built-in Collection widgets: Out-of-the box support for advanced graphical display techniques such as carousels, flip books, page turns and flip charts.
• Extended asset configuration capabilities, including for the new Bing Maps asset: Content can now be rendered even more reactive, more configurable, and more flexible for advanced design techniques.
“Our goal has always been to build the gold standard for interactive application creation and I think we have done just that,” says Vincent Encontre, IntuiLab’s CEO. “Our customers and partners don’t want to be burdened by advanced software development. They are interactive design firms and visionary companies who want to bring a fresh approach to communication. IntuiFace Presentation makes this possible with unlimited design creativity and almost no learning curve.”
IntuiFace Presentation Version 3.0 can be downloaded for a 21 day trial from intuiface-presentation.com. Customers will have two license options to choose from: a monthly or yearly subscription option and a perpetual option with annual support. The IntuiFace Presentation Composer enables presentation design on any computer running Windows 7 or Windows 8. The IntuiFace Presentation Player enables presentation execution on any touch-enabled Windows 7 or Windows 8-compliant device – including tablets, tables, kiosks and walls.
